This qualification has been developed for anyone entering a teaching or training role or already in-service needing to achieve the minimum threshold status as a teacher in the Lifelong Learning Sector – that is, adult and community learning and development, further education, information services, and work-based learning. By 2010, anyone who teaches courses that are publicly-funded will need to be qualified however it is increasingly the qualification required by many awarding bodies and employers.

- Use of appropriate teaching and learning approaches within a specialist area.
- Demonstrate session planning skills.
- How to deliver inclusive sessions to motivate learners.
- Use and understand different assessment methods.
- The need for accurate record keeping.
- Registering for your required CPD with the IFL.
- Plan, deliver, observe, and evaluate teaching sessions.

Course duration: Five-day programme. or blended learning options.
Assessment: One
practical two exams, one written assignment.
OfQual accredited: Yes - plus QCF, CIEH,
SVUK, & LSIS
QCF credits - Yes 12
Pre-requisite: Functional skills [Maths, English, and ICT] evidence
required at adult level 2.

This course is available on an ‘open’ basis [ask for open course set dates] or they can be delivered ‘in house’ for a group of your people nationwide, again just ask for details.
We only select suitable safe and comfortable venues for our courses with good access and parking. Our regular venue for trainer course is the Holiday Inn near Birmingham. Remember unlike other courses you will have direct contact with the course trainer for as long as you need it.
